
Dana F. Longo
Mr. Dana F. Longo graduated from U.C. Santa Cruz in 1993 with degrees in biology and legal studies, and earned his law degree from California Western School of Law in 1997. Initially employed with the Office of the District Attorney for the County of San Diego, Bureau of Child Support Enforcement, Mr. Longo joined the firm in 1998. His practice now focuses on Wills, Trusts, and other aspects of Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Trust Litigation, Real Estate Transactional and Litigation Matters, and the formation of Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and other business entities.
Mr. Longo has been an active member of the local legal community. He served on the Board of Directors of the Barrister’s Club from 1998 through 2000, acting as President for the year 2000. He was also active in the Santa Barbara Inns of Court from 1999 through 2001, serving on the Board of Directors in 2001. Further, he served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association from 2001 through 2006, and remains active with the Bar Association. Mr. Longo also serves on the executive committee of the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Semana Nautica Association, as well as being a founding member, Director, and Legal Counsel for the Channel Islands Park Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization formed to benefit the Channel Islands National Park. Mr. Longo is also fluent in Spanish and regularly represents Spanish speaking clients.

Melinda Rippberger is a highly skilled paralegal and legal secretary and has been working with the Firm for over 34 years. She received her Certificate in Legal Assistantship from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1982. In 1987, she earned specialty certifications in Civil Litigation and Probate from the National Legal Assistant Conference Center in Los Angeles. She now successfully serves the firm in the areas of trust administration, probate and conservatorship matters, and litigation management.
Mr. Scott H. Walther is licensed as an Enrolled Agent, which is a Federal License to assist clients in the realm of income tax preparation and advice. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, with degrees in Business, Economics and an emphasis in Accounting. He has been with the firm since 1999, and represents clients with respect to the preparation of their personal income tax returns (IRS Form 1040), corporate or other business tax returns (IRS Forms 1120/ 1120s); and 1041 Fiduciary/ Trust tax returns on an annual basis.
